The Beatitudes

What are the beatitudes?

They are the articles of our spiritual magna-carta. They are the fundamental principle set by Jesus to make up our Divine Constitution.

They clearly, distinctly, deal with God's immutable laws. They are spiritual attitudes; attitudes of being, thinking, of doing, and of blessing if we lived by them.

In Deuteronomy 28:1-14, Moses deals with God's physical blessings: in "the fruit of the body", of the fruit of 'the cattle, "fruit of the ground." But Jesus deals with the inner blessing: blessing for our heart, mind and soul, when the beatitudes are accepted, applied and practiced.

If we accept the eight articles of Matthew 5, they will become the alpha and omega of our existence, and our code of mental and spiritual ethics, A set of rules to live by; and the foundation upon which our behavior in life, toward ourselves and our fellow man is established.

Has the Christian world accepted the beatitudes?

As we study the Sermon on the Mount, especially the .beatitudes, Jesus ever relating Christianity to every day life. Never separating the two, but reconciling them. Blending. them together in everything we say or do, on the job, at home as in social life, showing if we do, we are expressing the abundant of life: many in the so-called world have the tendency to try and separate them. But Jesus showed us that the Beatitudes fit right into our everyday action.

Yet some have not accepted them. Having placed the emphasis on learning about Jesus, rather than on applying his teaching, they have accepted the fact of Jesus' life, but mister the purpose of it.

Thus, the beatitudes have been accepted by the Christian world only as a beautiful but impractical theory of by gone days not applicable to our modern time at, all.

What will the beatitudes do for us?

The beatitudes offer pardon for all of our sins. They invite us to enter, consciously, into the one great family of God. They comfort us in sorrow; guide us in perplexity, alloy mir fears; give us the hope of resurrection here and now.

The beatitudes give hope to the poor, solace to the sick, add strength to the strong, Humility to the proud they are the secret of success with God and man, open the door to health, harmony, peace and happiness. So let us embrace our glorious heavenly Father by embracing the articles of the Divine Constitution, and be cleaved to our dear God's heart %tatting for the return of Jesus Christ our Savior.

The Divine Constitution

The Divine Constitution and what it is.

It is the Sermon on the Mount, or the Beatitudes. (Matt. 5:6;7)

The Divine Constitution is the Supreme Law, or fundamental basis for human conduct.

It is God's gift to mankind, straight from the mountain top, through our way shower Jesus Christ.

It is the spiritual key to living. It points the way to a definite specific, personal and Godly way of life.

It is a holy, exalting, illuminating and inspiring formula for the development of man's soul, for the shaping of this life, and conduct toward others.

It is the most wonderful document ever written and recorded in human history.

Why it is important to live by the Divine Constitution?

Because it is the summary of truth. As our forefathers wrote the consititution of the United States of America for our moral and ethical conduct, so the Master gave us the divine constitution for our spiritual conduct, as sons of the Most High; as citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

When the divine constitution is adopted as the authoritative established law of life, and become the fundamental, underlying moral principles governing our lives, then we are establishing the Kingdom here on earth, now.

When we do our level best hour after hour, day after day, week by week, to observe the rules and regulations of this constitution we are living a pure, a noble and purposeful life of achievement and success.

When we let the constitution fill our life and command our full attention, we become true citizens of Christ's Kingdom.

When we introduce this constitution (Sermon on the Mount) into our lives and make it the cornerstone of our existence, we revolutionize our own lives.

If we accept it into our existence it will teach us the fatherhood of God, and the brotherhood of God, and the brotherhood of man; it will convince and enlighten us; it will renew us, refine us and sanctify us.

It may not convert us instantly, but it is sure to restrain our passion, modify our undesirable appetites, purify our hearts, cleanse our souls and raise our consciousness to the Christ level of truth.

How To Adopt This Constitution.

We see that this constitution guarantees human rights. Let us through our power of thinking, feeling and acting, force our own ego to adopt it, declare our freedom and emancipation from the negative condition of our lives. We must begin to seek spiritual values; become interested in- God, not just in religion; become interested in primitive Christianity rather than modern theological churchanity. There is a vast difference between the God who is and the limited theological concepts of the God who is worshipped.

The tragedy of those who live outside the Divine Constitution.

Those who do this live only to worship the "Golden Calf". Such people think only of themselves and their well being. They live by the operate on intellectual and materialistic planes of consciousness only. They are stone blind to the glorious spiritual values of the Divine Constitution and miss the true values of life. Such people blunder through life groping for the light, emotionally unstable, blue, dejected, depressed, frustrated, fearful; They build statues out of snow, and can only weep when they see them melt, for they have nothing to fall, back on when tragedy, strikes. Their Gods they worship are proven shams, frauds, and counterfeits.

But whosoever drinketh of the water .I shall give him, shall never thirst. (John 4:14).

But they are too busy to read, adopt, and live by the divine constitution. They can count on their accomplishments; stocks and bonds, mortgage and real estates, coupons and annuities, homes and palaces, but theses things do not warm the heart, heal the body or uplift the soul. They do not include peace of mind, happiness, satisfaction.

There is no rest till we find rest in Thee'. Their troubled, crying souls find no rest, till they rest in the divine constitution, in the love of God, which is expressed by Jesus Christ.

The reward for those who live by the Divine Constitution.

To live by the divine constitution is not easy, but with God's help we can adopt it and live by it. We can live by it only when we carry the intent and purpose into every phase of our lives. Then we experience a new outlook on life; we become, a different person in the sight of God and man. The Divine Constitution guarantees us a .perfect life; free from fear, want or distress.

The net result of living by the Divine Constitution.

As we continue to live under the law of the divine constitution, sooner or later a miracle happens. Quietly and without effort God reveals himself to us through the Holy Spirit within us. It reveals to us our Heavenly Father's Promise, as His children, to enter the Promised Land. No one is excluded, no race, no color, creed, or social standing; rich or poor, sick or well, young or old, saint or sinner, everyone is welcome in the Promised Land.

The influence of the Divine Constitution on mankind.

The divine constitution has influenced the destiny to a far greater degree than most of us realize. The simple, direct and proven statement of Jesus has persistently clung to man's mind for over nineteen hundred years. The sheer love, beauty and goodness they express continue to awaken in the depths of our hearts all that is good, true, noble and pure.

The Divine Constitution uncovers our true nature as Sons of God, and shows us our oneness with God.

The Sermon on the Mount (divine constitution) is the way to our Lord, and makes the abstract concrete. It assures us of life eternal.

Through it we can hear our Father's voice, "Come, ye blessed of my Father inherit the Kingdom prepaid for you from the foundation of the world."
